“This could be quite a long shot, but I was wondering if you are available April 7th?! My fiancée and I have decided it could maybe be a nice weekend to get married lol. You did my sister in laws wedding and I've fantasized about having you do our photos ever since then! So my first order of business was to check if you were free!”

I will never not be surprised and so flattered when getting messages like the one Molly sent. As an artist those types of messages about my art, remind me just how much other’s value what I create. So of course I was thrilled to be able to tell Molly we still had her date open!

Molly+Dylan decided to elope at her childhood cottage in Erie, PA on a random Friday in April, and let’s just say it was pretty perfect.

The day started by getting ready at the cottage and with the two of them sharing a first look out on the little gravel road.

Then Molly, Dylan and eight other family members drove to the trailhead. From here everyone including their two dogs Amos and Jerry hiked to a little spot in the woods overlooking lake Erie. The ceremony, officiated by Molly’s brother in-law was short and sweet.

Molly and Dylan love being in the outdoors so after their ceremony they hiked around with the just the two of them exploring the bluffs and nearby trails. The mix of the lake views, woods and cliffsides all in one location really allowed for a wide variety of scenery without having to hike far.

Once finished up with their hike, they met back up with their family at the cottage. At this point, everyone decided to take a stroll down to the beach to share in some pre-dinner cigars and champagne. The day ended with an intimate dinner back at the cottage as the sun set.
